Image
We are proud of being the part of people who care! On 24 th  of March Gold Lion Holding team participated in the beach clean-up within Making Malta Green and Clean campaign organised by Bay Radio and environmental action group Zibel. We are happy and proud of the job we did, not to mention the collected amount of rubbish weighing 1.18 tons, which is an impressive (in a sad way) number for the considerably small area covered (Golden Bay, Ghajn Tuffieha and surrounding trekking paths - one of the most visited beach area on the island). Please read more about the results on BayRadio homepage:  https://bay.com.mt/89-7-bay-leads-maltas-biggest-beach-clean-up/ At the same time, we are sharing few photos from the event... .. the work doesn’t stop here just yet, we also took part in Earth Day Clean Up event on 22 nd  of April, where 89 locations on our beautiful island were covered and cleaned-up. Business trips of a student - everything is possible!

Being a student in the Netherlands you have many privileges (if you know about them): endless student discounts, tax reductions, special promotions and last but not least many opportunities to grow as a person while at the educational institution. At Saxion University of Applied Sciences where I am currently doing my study, I am not only a student, but also a student ambassador - a person who one would be in contact with if coming to Saxion for a day or when having specific study related questions. I must say that not every university does the same - in the UK most send their university staff to represen...

"Ad Vitam Paramus" - Preparing for life

Would you like to see how I spend my working days at Gold Lion Holding?  Welcome to this blog :) Every day of the week except weekends I have a working schedule starting at 9AM and finishing at 6PM. These days I don't only spend at our main office in Sliema, but also at Gold Lion ResidenSea - company's guesthouse in St. Julian's - the most visited area in Malta! This is because Marketing Team tasks are divided between Gold Lion Real Estate, Gold Lion ResidenSea and Gold Lion Holding as a whole and being present at the location of the office insures better information flow with the employees and the Management.  Maggie is a Financial Accounting & Administration Intern from the Philippines! She is the one (together with an office manager Bobby) who will greet you at our office with a smile and a cup of hot cappuccino :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- As a Marketing team we try to spend 2 days on Gold Lion Real Estate ...

Hospitality business and carnival time

I'm glad you're back reading my blog about Malta! Every 2 weeks I prepare something interesting so YOU can learn something new about this marvellous country and about my life on the island.  It's my pleasure to have you read my stories! I told you little about the town where I work. Sliema, despite being touristic, is a major commercial area, popular for shopping, bars, cafes and restaurants. Sliema was once a quiet fishing village but has now become a town with the most Malta's tall buildings. On my way to/from work, I can see quite a number of people enjoy their morning run along the promenade or return with a couple of bags from the shopping centre The Point (on the picture). Sliema has it all: busy streets during the lunchtime and a bit of quietness at the end of the working day. At work, I'm entitled to a 1-hour lunch break, which I can spend while getting tanned on the bench next to the seafront or window shopping with my colleagues.      ...
